In town it has been raining since Friday. In the mountains they have been getting so much snow many of the passes have been closing due to snow slides. In the gorge the snow has been here one day and most of it gone the next.

Today my nephew and I went out for lunch and afterwards we setout to take a trip up into the gorge to see how much snow was on the ground and check out some bicycle trails. We drove back on the Washington side and stopped to hike the trail to the top of Beacon Rock. It was one of those “lets do it” moments. The wind was blowing and the trail was slushy and slippery. We had a great afternoon.

I did not have my good camera, but instead had the Canon A630 digital point and shoot. Here are a few pictures from the trail and on the top.

Thank you for visiting ExpressingOpinions.
