Being home and using my own computer is nice. I have been working on transferring all of the photos to my computer, backing them up to my external drive, and burning them to DVD. Yes, I am a bit obsessive when it comes to having copies, but I also had major system problem once and had to do data recovery work to get my documents back. Believe me it is easier and less time consuming to copy and backup as you go.
Once I am done with my photos I will start on my video transferring, copying and backups. Because I use MiniDV tape it will be more time consuming but I like the look of tape over other media. After all of this copying I will start processing the photos and editing the videos.
