There is a saying in the trucking industry… “If you bought it, a truck brought it.” It is a very true statement and should be of concern to many Americans considering the rising cost of diesel fuel in the United States.
Considering most of our fresh produce and meat is brought by truck from over 1,000 miles away, how can you save money? Try buying your produce from a local farmers market, where the produce is fresh and grown locally. You will receive a better product, at a better price, support the local economy, and have less of an impact on the environment.
