Hey, I am not making this up. The description below comes from the web site for the Massage Pants.
Infrared heaters
Temperature control
Super vibration massage with a scientific and rational allocation
High-performance rechargeable batteries
They must be purchased in lots of 500 and are made in China. Most likely there will be a recall because someone will realize the emanating glow from their crotch area isn’t from the warmth of the pants, but from the radiation in the heat source.
It’s a shame the pants do not have an iPod port. It could give new meaning to getting your groove on. Need I say more? I will leave that up to your imagination.
I recently purchased a video camera. As I continued my journey into the consumer dizzying electronics world I realized the choices are mind numbing, thus it would be easy to fall prey to impulse buying. These are just a few of the questions I asked myself during the process of buying a camera.
What am I going to use it for?
Who is my audience?
Where will I primarily use it.. indoor, outdoors, or both?
What kind of video camera do I really need?
Do I want a camera which uses tape or has a hard drive to store the video?
What is the difference?
Is it practical to buy an HD (High Definition) camera?
What will it take to produce a quality dvd to share with friends and family?
How much do I really want to spend and how much am I willing to spend?
After a significant amount of research and reading hundreds of owner reviews I chose the highly rated Sony DCR-HC96 standard definition Mini DV tape camera. Here is the reasons which lead me to my final choice.
Excellent low light ability.
High quality video.
Large CCD chip which makes the above possible.
Mini DV tape has better image quality than hard drive cameras.
Easier and less expensive to produce a DVD in standard definition.
Blu-Ray burners are still expensive.
HD camera are still improving and I do not want to invest the amount of money it would take to get a quality HD camera at this time.
I got a great deal online and the Sony DCR-HC96 with the accessories of wide angle lens attachment, lens filter, wireless external bluetooth mic, battery, and film cost less the an HD camera.
Those are a few of my reasons for making the purchase I made. Did I make the right decision? Currently I am in Hawaii for two weeks and thus far the video I have taken has been excellent. The wireless mic has been wonderful for capturing dialog on the windy coastline and the wide angle lens has made the scenes stunning. I am definitely happy with my choice.
I can see where HD is appealing, but for now I am not ready to make the investment I need to make to produce quality HD home movies. With that said, I do look forward to the upgrade in the future.
I have used Adobe Photoshop for a long time. Many friends have shown interest, but in the end they do not want to spend the money or deal with the learning curve. Now it looks like Adobe is starting Web-based Photoshop Express, available for free with 2 gigabytes of storage at www.photoshop.com/express.

Only time will tell how it stacks up with other services available on the web, but it is nice to see another choice available from a reputable company. You can read a full review of the application at Webware.
Gibson Guitar Company has filed a lawsuit against Activision, the company that makes and sells the popular Guitar Hero game. Even though Gibson has a licensing agreement with Activision and is paid royalties, Gibson is suing for a patent infringement based on, “for technology to simulate a musical performance”. Didn’t Gibson know that simulated guitar performance is what the game is about?
Gibson also filed lawsuits against Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Amazon.com, Toys ‘R’ Us and GameStop, demanding they stop selling the Guitar Hero game. It sounds to me Gibson did not realize how popular Guitar Hero was going to be and now wants a bigger cut of the profits. So does Gibson think a lawsuit is a good way to renegotiate? Did anyone at Gibson think maybe Guitar Hero has helped them sell a few guitars to kids and even a few adults after they enjoyed the game so much they decided playing the real thing could be more fun?
Activision and it’s fans of Guitar Hero should become vocal and let the Gibson Guitar Company know what they think about the lawsuit by encouraging people to purchase another brand of guitar, such as a Fender. Join a Guitar Hero Forum and spread the word.
Here is another photo I came across today, this one is from the Seattle Times. The senior 777 pilot for Cathay Pacific Airways decided to do an unauthorized flyby with 50 to 60 people on board, one of the people on board was company Chairman Christopher Pratt. The pilot was fired.
You can go to YouTube to view the video which caused the pilot to lose his job.
Are you or someone you know interested in bicycling and/or bicycle racing? If you know someone who is one of those people who ride a bike and follows the races, you could be their hero by passing along this information. Here is are links to an article from Wired about and to Adobe Tour Tracker.
Currently the Amgen Tour of California is taking place, so now with some excellent technology you can follow the race live with Adobe Tour Tacker. Tour Tracker has live commentary, route map, course profile, live rider tracking, and you can choose between cameras. And you can do this all live in real time online.
Think of the potential trickle down effect of this technology to the consumer level is amazing. Thank you for visiting Expressing Opinions.
I didn’t like the size of yesterdays snow photos, so today I made them 100 pixels larger. Here are two photos from my afternoon trip up the mountain to check out the snow.
The image below is taken from behind the Food Mart.
I am glad I do not have to shovel the snow around here. Thank you for visiting Expressing Opinions.
The other night I couldn’t sleep. Woke up around 12:30am, tossed and turned until 1:30, when I finally decided to get out of bed and make use of my time. What did I do? I played Guitar Hero3 until I needed to get ready and leave for work at 5:30am. Hey I know how to put my time to good use. My thinking is the next time I go visit my son I should be able to be competitive when we play GH3.
Then today while I am drinking my morning coffee, watching the news, and channel surfing (I love having a bazillion useless channels.) I came across a pod on CurrentTv about the Guitar Zeros. I did some research and now I have the software to turn my plastic guitar into serious plastic guitar fun on the computer and will take the guitar competition to a new and more fun level. Maybe I should start thinking about upgrading my guitar.
Check it out.Thank you for visiting Expressing Opinions.
