Last night before going to bed I heard George Carlin passed away. George Carlin has always made me laugh. I have always appreciated his style of observational humor, the things he points out to us in his routines, and his unique delivery. Some of it was just plain funny, while other things were more serious and brought to light in his humorous style.

I remember being in Las Vegas and hearing he was doing a show at Caesars Palace. I managed to get tickets at a table in the front and it was one of the best times I had seeing a live performance. He ended the show with an expanded version of his seven dirty words. In Carlin style he brought out a scroll and started reading from it, which was a huge list of words and definitely expanded from his original seven. Truly funny and totally George. Thank you George.

You know gas prices are getting out of hand when a car dealer in Butler, Mo. is offering a gun when you buy a car.

WCSH6 is reporting, BUY A CAR, GET A FREE GUN. Here is a quote from their story:

“Just a nice small little gun,” explained car dealer Steve Priest as he palmed a .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

“You’ve got car-jackings,” salesman Walter Moore said about the motivator for the campaign. “You got innocent people being shot and killed. I figured it’s time for people to protect themselves.”

With the price of crude oil reaching $132 a barrel and another record high average price for gas at $3.81, I guess car owners will need the gun to fill up their car.
