Oliver Stone has a new movie called W. and it is being released in November. It is a movie about that piece of sh*t Bush. So I am wondering is it fact or fiction, is it a documentary or a comedy, or maybe it is a docu-comedy? Here is a trailer for the movie so you can decide.
I don’t know about you, but I have seen enough of Bush and I do not need pay to see a movie about the imbecile.

Below is a trailer for a documentary on Nerdcore Rappers. They rap about comic books, role playing, and video games, while preaching the gospel about nerd empowerment. Check it out.
On the Wired blog network Listening Post: Documentary Nerdcore For Life Examines the Good, Bad and Geeky
Doing his anthropology through interviews with nerdcore rappers like MC Router, MC Lars, Beefy, mc chris, YTCracker, Monzy, MC Plus+ and High-C, Lamoureux traces the genre from its origins on laptops coast-to-coast to full-on movement trying to find its identity (and then try to explain it to everyone else).
“I got so far in –- up to my neck –- in nerdcore beef and drama,” the director says. “I got on [a nerdcore] message board to promote the film and people responded with ‘Screw that movie, you didn’t ask me to be in it.’ It’s just absurd.”
Nerdcore Rappers? I think I need to look into this. The film will be shown at the 2008 Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle next month.

The Martin Scorsese movie, “Shine A Light” live from the Beacon Theater in New York City in the fall of 2006 is opening today. I am not a big Rolling Stones fan, but there are a few songs which bring memories of more adventurous times.
Jumping Jack Flash is one of those songs. It brings back memories of flying in a helicopter at tree top level with the doors open, banking back and forth, over hills and down in the valleys, and listening to the Stones . Thinking you could die at any moment, but feeling so very much alive.
Here is a clip from the film.

Have you ever went to see a concert, movie, or other form of entertainment where the audience added to the fun?
Yesterday I went to see the Bucket List, which stars Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. It passed my good movie criteria by leaving me feeling entertained and the time went by quickly during show.
What was really fun about going to see this movie was the other audience members. When I arrived at the theater I was surprised to see a line waiting to get in. Who would expect to see a line at 1 pm on a Tuesday? Apparently Tuesday is free popcorn day if you have a special card. I did not have the card, but the rest of the audience, which were senior citizens had the free popcorn cards. After I paid for my ticket I entered the theater and located a seat. This was the most people I had ever seen in an afternoon showing, nearly everyone in the audience were seniors and most were sitting there munching on the free popcorn waiting for the show to begin. I found seeing them all sitting there munching and not saying much rather amusing.
Once the show began was when I realized this was going to be a fun experience. Every funny part in the movie received lots of laughs from the audience, but what made this unique was the amount of laughter and how loud it was. The old folks were definitely enjoying the movie.
Most of the time I choose to see movies on weekdays and in the early afternoon because there are few people which means less distractions from rude people. Yesterday I almost decided to do something different when I saw the line to enter the theater and I am now glad I chose to stay. I think I need to get more information about when the senior citizens go to movies, because their participatory laugher turned going to see a good movie into a most fun afternoon.

On Monday, I played hookie with a friend and went to see National Treasure. My rating of a movie is basically very simple. If I find myself leaving the movie feeling entertained and I did not check my watch to see what time it is or how much longer until the end, then it is a good movie. With that said, I have to say I liked National Treasure and thought it was good. Was there many parts which were implausible? Yes. But then too this is fiction. Did I like the storyline? Yes, but it could use some work. The movie ran for 2 hrs. 4 mins. so you would think it would be tighter, but it still passed the feeling entertained and time check.
This was the first time I went to see a movie shown with Digital Light Processing (DLP) and I found it to be impressive. I was surprised with the quality of the picture and how clear, bright, and vivid it was. I would not want to see an old film converted to this process and take away from the classic film look and feel. However, in a new movie and one with a lot CG, it would very enjoyable.
I saw the trailer for the new Narnia movie to be released this year and I look forward to playing hookie and seeing on the big screen in DLP.
